RunningHub GPU tiers compared: what Standard, Plus and Ultra really cost
The price table says Plus and Ultra are a little dearer than Standard. Measured in coins per GPU-minute, they cost about 2x and 3x. Here are the numbers and when each tier is worth it.

RunningHub offers three GPU tiers. The published price table makes the bigger ones look like a small step up. I measured what my own tasks were actually billed, and the gap is much bigger.
The published table
| Tier | VRAM | Per minute | Per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 24 GB | $0.012 | $0.70 |
| Plus | 48 GB | $0.015 | $0.90 |
| Ultra | 84 GB | $0.023 | $1.35 |
On paper, Plus is 1.3x Standard and Ultra is 1.9x.
What I was actually billed
RunningHub's outputs API returns two fields for every finished task: consumeCoins (what it cost) and taskCostTime (GPU seconds). Dividing one by the other gives the real price per GPU-minute:
| Tier | Coins per GPU-minute | vs Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 12.3 | 1x |
| Plus | 24.3 | 2.0x |
| Ultra | 36.0 | 2.9x |
Standard lines up with the table at roughly 1 coin = $0.001 (my inference, since 12.3 coins a minute matches $0.012). Plus and Ultra come out about 1.5x more expensive per minute than the table suggests.
The Ultra figure comes from three 6-second MiniMax H3 clips at 1344x768: 142, 132 and 143 coins for 236, 220 and 238 GPU seconds.
Same job, two tiers
One H3 video shot, rendered on both:
| Tier | Coins | GPU seconds |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | 21-22 | ~105 |
| Plus | 38 | 94 |
Plus finished about 10% faster and cost about 1.8x the coins.
When to use which
- Standard for every test. Prompts, seeds, LoRA strengths, new workflows. Most of these renders get thrown away.
- Plus or Ultra only for the final render of something you have already approved, or when a job genuinely does not fit in 24 GB.
Judge cost by
consumeCoins, not by your coin balance. RunningHub adds a daily bonus (100 coins a day on my account) when you use it, so the balance can drop less than the work actually cost.
Measured on: RunningHub, October 2026. Prices change, so measure your own tasks the same way before planning a big batch.
